Type I
Type I is what I call a "less is more" approach to attaching the G-Clip to a sheath. The whole sheath is a single piece of leather rolled around the knife with two holes punched through for the G-Clip screw attachment.

Advantages
  • Slim
  • Durable
  • Takes up minimal space
Disadvantages
  • Not optimal for canted carry on the belt (see Type I  Canted Configuration below)
Type I - Vertical Configuration

Type I - Horizontal Configuration

Type I - Canted Configuration

As you can see, the sheath rides a little bit high and wide of the clip. However, it may be possible to modify the G-Clip by drilling an additional hole in the tongue portion of it to remedy this. Stay tuned.
Type I - Cross-Draw Configuration
